Penguin Unit

Students are gathering some key details about different penguin species and recording them in charts, diagrams, and notebooks.  Students enjoyed comparing and contrasting the different penguins and talking about their favorite species.  What is your child's favorite penguin and why?

Students will use the above chart to complete a Step Up To Writing assignment about penguins.

One of our favorite penguins is Tacky!  He is a beloved fictional character in the Tacky the Penguin books.  He is a bit odd, but that is what makes his so lovable!  In celebration of Tacky, students made their own odd penguins.
