Miss Ho's Solo Weeks

For the week of November 8th and November 29th, Miss Ho, our fabulous student teacher, taught the class. She did a wonderful job following the curriculum by presenting engaging lessons on...

-subtraction
-l and r blends (tr, dr, pl, bl..)
-clouds
-lines and texture in art
-folktales
-story elements

Room 5 is very lucky to have such a prepared, thoughtful, and enthusiastic student teacher. We have greatly benefited from her assistance. She has definitely made a positive difference in the students' learning and educational experience. She has now finished the SJSU credential program and is ready to have her own classroom! Her last day in Room 5 is Wednesday, December 8th. We wish her the best in her career as a teacher.

  1. Dear Room 5 parents,

It’s been an absolute pleasure to teach your first graders. As Mrs. Riccomini mentioned, I taught the class for two weeks. Not only have your children learned a lot, but I have as well. They have taught me how to become a better teacher.

I’ve had so much fun teaching them, and helping them out in the classroom. We’ve shared many great moments together. You’re children have really blossomed before my very eyes. These past couple months have been a wonderful journey and I have learned so much under Mrs. Riccomini’s guidance and through working along with your children. I will treasure the entirety of this experience for a lifetime. Each child is truly unique and wonderful in so many different ways, and I am lucky to have witnessed such boundless creativity spark.

Mrs. Riccomini is a great teacher and your children are all so lucky to have her. I’m sad to say that this Wednesday will be my last day. I will miss them so much. I will begin a new chapter of my life and I’m excited to have my own class in the near future. I wish the best for all of you and your children. I know that they will have great journeys in store for them. Thank you for making this experience so worthwhile.

    Love,
    Ms. Ho
